I’ve heard of this, and thought it was an occasional under the table situation. However, I just watched a special, which explains it’s extremely common for Americans to visit Costa Rico for plastic surgery.

One woman on the special, had plastic surgery which completely got rid of her vertical c-section scar. I didn’t even know that was possible. What type of surgery is that? I can’t remember the name.

Another woman had 15 different procedures, including teeth whitening, veneers, crowns, etc, and only paid $7000(which included air fare and housing). Is anyone familiar with this plastic surgery center below:

Just because it’s cheap does not mean you’ll get the quality you deserve.

Because you’re paying them so little, they usually pay little attention to making sure the surgery went smoothe. Who knows, while you’re knocked out on the tables, they could go in and take a kidney and you wouldn’t even know it. There have been reports of this.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to travel to third world countries for a cheap but dangerous surgery because if something goes wrong, the cost of fixing it would be equivalent to getting the surgery here in the U.S in the first place. But hey that’s just me.

I’m talking about to redesign these facial features, not a simple change. I’m wondering if plastic surgery could change somebody’s face, or at least, erase all what is ugly. The price is not a problem, I’d go to the end of the world to reach the change.

Yes it can change. Consult a cosmetic surgeon and let him know your concerns and how can you rectify them. I had eyelid surgery.

I have been thinking about plastic surgery for a while now and am really desperate to just get it done, my appearance affects me and knocks my self esteem everyday.

I just am not in the best financial position right now! and was wondering, which company offers the best finance options or price?Or can you think of a better way that I could pay for it preferably with some kind of repayment holiday / low monthly repayments.

I’m researching info about plastic surgery. I like to enhancemy breast, I saw a video from ABC news that many people are traveling to other countries as Costa Rica to save money and they said that they treat you very good, that the doctors are great, etc.
If that is true, how can somebody from US find info before traveling? where can I find a list of doctors, prices etc?

I want to search for more info, BEFORE I decide what to do. So I’m taking my time to investigate.

Is there any place here in USA where the Breast Augmentation is NOT too expesive?
If so, where would be a good place to start looking, any body knows a good site?

It is totally true that you can save a lot doing a plastic surgury in costa rica. I did my plastic surgury there and the main hospital ( Hospital Cima San Jose) is amazingly good,clean, and it has very specialized attention when it comes to plastic surgury. Someone answered to this cuestion that they are not real doctors but I guess that no body is going to mess up with someone who doesent have a specialized diploma. You should at least call a doctor in Costa Rica or reaserch more beacause there are many experts who studied in the US or Europe. Doctors there might of studied with the someone that is working here just that they went to different places.One of the main doctors is called Alejandro Lev, you should contact him.

I have a scar on my lip, and it’s not a place I would want a scar. It was sewn in the emergency room and is a little uneven. Since it is correcting a scar would my health insurance help out? Does anyone know a price range it would be?

im doing a 1000 word essay on economic side of plastic surgery and need to know:
-average amount of money spent on reconstructive plastic surgery
-average amount of money spent on cosmetic surgery
-has the price went up or down from 2005

I spent 11,100 on my first breast implants and mini tummy tuck. For my second breast implant I went to the same plastic surgeon and I paid 3,500 to go with bigger implants and lipo on my flanks,tummy and inner and outer thighs. But since I used the same surgeon he gave me a huge discount. If I would have went to another plastic surgeon then I would have paid a lot more.

Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. If you go with "budget" surgery, you’ll wind up looking like you got cheap plastic surgery. There’s a reason why those doctors charge less.
